Painting Chosen for Canada's official residences

S.Brooke Anderson's landscape" Passage" (above) has been selected for the State Art Collection Project, administered by the Canadiana Fund in Ottawa. "The Project, launched by the Canadiana Fund in 1995, is designed to showcase the works of contemporary Canadian artists."

The Museum's collection represents the history of Japan emigration, and the lives of the Nikkei inside and outside Japan. Anderson's exhibition was the first time the museum juxtaposed contemporary art with their historical exhibits.
